A scarce issue of the short-lived Irish American newspaper, The Western Star and Harp of Erin for Apr. 24, 1813, (New York), 8pp. sm. folio. uncut. The paper was the second attempt at an Irish-American newspaper in New York and only ran from 1812 to 1813 (the first attempt being the Shamrock which ran for a brief period in 1810). This issue includes news on the War of 1812 as well as lists of newly naturalized citizens and more good content. Light scattered foxing, marginal wear, heavy folds, else good condition.
