<B>1946 50C Iowa MS68 <img border='0' src='http://www.heritagecoins.com/images/star.gif' width=10 height=10> NGC.</B></I> Though the Medallic Art Company of New York City had handled many of the commemorative dies of the pre-1939 era, the Philadelphia Mint made the final models for the Iowa half. This spectacular example displays silver-gray, magenta, ocean-blue, and lime-green patina on the obverse, while the reverse exhibits bronze toning at the top and lavender-gray color at the bottom. A strongly lustrous and lovely piece.
