KNIVES.
1) 6 5/8" Spear pointed blade trench knife marked on right side of blade "U.S. M3 H. BOKER & CO. U.S.A." Steel cross guard w/ top side bent forward. 8 Grooved leather washer handle. Steel pommel marked on end w/ "flaming bomb". Blade is finished in dark gray original parkerizing. M6 type trench knife scabbard marked only w/ faint "flaming bomb" on front. In correct configuration including metal plate on both sides near tip. Stapled reinforcement at throat.
2) 7" Fullered blade marked on front of crossguard "KA-BAR" "USN". Straight crossguard has rear wood sweep. Grooved leather washer handle w/ rnd. pommel. Period leather sheath w/ rawhide tie down.
3) 7" Fullered bowie type blade. Marked on left ricasso "KA-BAR". Right ricasso marked "USMC". Grooved leather washer handle w/ rnd. disk pommel. Tan leather sheath marked "USMC" "BOYT 43".
4) 6 7/8" Fuller bowie type blade. Marked "U.S.N." on left ricasso. Marked "CAMILLUS, N.Y." on right ricasso. Grooved leather washer handle. Rnd. steel disk pommel. Blade is blued. Scabbard not present.
5) 7" Fullered bowie style blade. Marked "U.S.N." on left ricasso. Marked on right ricasso "ROBESON SHUREDGE". Rear wood swept crossguard. Blued leather washer handle. Rnd. steel disk pommel. Leather scabbard marked "USN".
6) 7" Fullered bowie type blade. Marked on left ricasso "U.S. NAVY". Marked on right ricasso "PAL RH-37". Rnd. leather sheath marked "USN".
7) 6 1/2" Spear pointed blade marked "DIY". Straight crossguard. Leather washer handle w/ steel disk pommel. Appears theater made. Unmarked brown leather sheath.
8) 6 1/2" Spear pointed blade unmarked. Steel cross guard. Leather washer handle. Disk metal pommel retain by nail. M8 scabbard.
9) 5" Fullered bowie type blade. Marked on left ricasso "CAMILLUS CUTLERY CO CAMILLUS N.Y." Brass crossguard. Leather washer handle. Aluminum pommel. Green plastic scabbard marked "U.S.N." "MK1" "BNCO".
10) 6 1/4" Fullered bowie type blade. Marked on left ricasso "PAL RH-36". Steel crossguard. Leather washer handle. Cast metal pommel. Plastic scabbard marked "U.S.N." "MK2".
CONDITION: many blades have light wear. Have been sharpened. Handles have moderate wear. Scuffing & handling marks. Sheaths may have wear, scuffing, flexing & staining. PROVENANCE: Collection of Brian C. Pinkerton. (02-15440-5/RW). $1,000-1,300.
