INLAID HEPPLEWHITE FOUR-DRAWER CHEST. Attributed to Kentucky. Refinished cherry with pine and poplar secondary woods. French feet with scalloped aprons and a band of inlay around the base. Dovetailed drawers are beaded and have old eagle brasses which have been placed in the original holes and line inlay around the fronts. Chamfered pilasters have small pots at the bottom with meandering vines ending just below the top. One-board top has been re-set. Restorations with replacements including the foot facings. One foot has been glued. Ex Robert Moreland Estate, Lexington. 40"w. 20"d. 41 1/2"h.
