<B>WONDERFUL TINTYPE OF UNKNOWN LAWMAN</B></I> - This 2.5” x 3” tintype depicts a confident young man in what appears to be a police uniform, wearing a large metal star over his heart, with a second round medallion to its right. His colorful scarf belies the serious nature of his pose. He stands in leather boots with his long-gun at his side, before a cloth backdrop in an unnamed photographer's studio. Image is housed in a handsome presentation case with embossed designs on the exterior and pressed into the interior protective velvet. Image is covered by glass and is presented in a gilt pressed-tin “frame.” Exterior of case is faded and the hinge is nearly separated.
