INDIAN & HENDERSON TIN MOTORCYCLE SIGN.
INDIAN & HENDERSON TIN MOTORCYCLE SIGN. Certainly the granddaddy of all Indian and Henderson motorcycle or bicycle signs is this unique hand painted example made by the Ithaca Sign Works of Ithaca, New York for H. R. Henneberger, 73 Lincoln Way, Chambersburg, Pa. Painted on galvanized sheet metal, this sign depicts wonderful graphics of a young couple out for a country ride astride their circa 1920 Indian motorcycle, complete with leaf-spring shock absorbers and “suicide” gear shift. The sign is manufactured in two sections and seamed horizontally in the middle. In original frame, surrounded by new stabilizing frame. SIZE: Sight size 72” l x 48”. CONDITION: Good to very good considering its exposure to the elements outdoors over time.
