<td width="100%">
This is a magnificent figurine of the Spaniard Don Quoxiote mounted on malachite which was brought to North America by a diplomat who had been posted in the USSR during the 1950s.

This gentleman is now quite elderly and has asked that I dispose of this figurine for his estate.

This is truly a wonderful piece that was purchased in Moscow. My consignor informed me that the object was made by Faberge. Although I cannot discern any marks the quality is evidently there.

I am cautious as to any attribution, and suggest that it is possibly by Faberge or another fine workmaster, but also it could have been imported into Russia in the 19th century.

The figurine is beautifully cast. The shield, sword and lance can be removed.

There is a little glue on the base as I understand that the figure separated from its base at one time.
