This is absolutely one of a kind,world-ultra rare,a real museum exponent object of art with high historical value!!! This is an incomparable in beauty Imperial Russian vermeil silver&cloisonne enamel kovsh. The kovsh is in very unudual shape,and is extremely rare. It is decorated with over 12 different colours of enamel! It is goldplated with 24kt gold.It is signed with 84 silver kokoshnik hallmark with the initials of the Moscow assay master Ivan Lebetkin ,and with "K.Faberge" hallmark,with the Imperial warant eagle guarantee seal. The kovsh is 24cm long.

The kovsh was primary used as a ritual vine bow c16th century,but later in 19th century it has a decorative interior function only.

It comes from Mathilda's estate.

Mathilde Kschessinskaya (Polish: Matylda Krzesi?ska, 19 August 1872 (O.S.) Ligovo near Peterhof ? 7 June 1971 Paris), (also known as Her Serene Highness Princess Romanova-Krasinskaya since 1921) was the first Russian prima ballerina assoluta in the world. Today, she is probably best known for her love affair with the future Emperor Nicholas II, who is said to have lost his virginity with her.

Like all her Polish family, Mathilde performed at the Mariinsky Theatre of St Petersburg. After Pierina Legnani amazed the world with her 32 consecutive fouettés in 1893, (in Cinderella), Kschessinska was the first who managed to repeat this feat .
