NAMBU SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 8mm Nambu. S# 14955. Bbl. 4 5/8". Series II Type 14 Nambu semi-automatic pistol mfg. at the Toriimatsu arsenal under Nagoya supervision in February of 1944. The left side of the frame exhibits Kanji characters denoting the model designation, with the Nagoya arsenal insignia, Series II marking, and S# marked on the right, above the Showa date code "19.2". Metal components a reapplied high polish blue finish overall, save for on the bolt, which is polished in-the-white. Firing pin has been strawed at one time. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved wood grips. Standard dovetailed blade front sight, with fixed square notch rear sight. Large pattern trigger guard, with checkered cocking piece. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, trigger, trigger guard, mag. release button, bbl. / bbl. extension, locking block, bolt, firing pin, firing pin extension, cocking knob, as well as the grips. MAGS: 1 non-matching (S# 820) plated 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain bountiful amounts of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting a few superficial handling marks, as well as some light wear on the rear of the bbl. extension from cycling of the action. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show a few superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain very good to excellent overall. (25-2378/MLW).
