<hr align=left size=5 width=33% color=#778899>Sixth plate tintype, a full-length standing portrait in uniform with frock coat and sword identified as Union heavy artillery officer <b><font size=-1>Franklin W. Shepard</font></b>, a 23 year-old shoe manufacturer from Salem, MA. Clear image, tinted cheeks, in nice condition. Contained in hinged double case. Accompanied by his signed Enlistment form stating Shepard had enlisted in 1864 at Salem for one year. Boldly completed but unsigned by the “<i>Capt. & Provost Marshal, Fifth Dist.</i>” Fine. Attractively matted and contained under glass within wood frame. Overall 13"x16". Very nice.

11. All bidding is done in a competitive manner. The
winning bid will always be one bidding increment
over the second highest bid. The minimum
acceptable bid for any lot is 50% of the low
estimate given in the item description or $25,
whichever is higher.

12. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of
invoice. All accounts are payable to Signature
House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire
transfer details are available upon request.
West Virginia residents will pay a sales tax of
6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior
to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA
a credit card is requested.

13. Shipment is made via U.S. Postal Service or
Airborne unless otherwise instructed. Handling,
shipping and insurance charges are added to the
invoice. Oversize and foreign shipments are subject
to increased charges. All items are shipped
immediately upon receipt of payment.

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within
seven days providing that it comes back in the same
condition. There is a lifetime guarantee on
authenticity to the original purchaser. The item(s)
must be returned with two letters denying it’s
authenticity by expert authenticators acceptable
