IDENTIFIED HUNTING POUCH AND HORN.
IDENTIFIED HUNTING POUCH AND HORN. This hunting equipment includes a powder horn, measure, shot pouch and bag belonging to Andrew Jackson Swisher (1844 - 1907?). The powder horn is horn with wood cap and end plug; the powder measure is nickel-plated brass with cork plug; the shot pouch is leather with brass fittings (similar to Riling #1476-1477); the bag is leather with a tooled design near the top. Small sections of wood have chipped from the edge of the powder horn many years ago; the shot pouch has had some repairs made; there are partial separations along the tooling on one side of the bag; leather is somewhat stiff, but still in good condition.
