c1930s - Lot of 2 Hupa hats, very close twined, with beautiful designs in redbud and black on tan ground. Both measure about 7” across opening and are about 4” tall. These hats were once owned by Donald Douglas, Sr. and Jr., founders of Douglas Aircraft. 3) Book, "The American Indian," by Clark Wissler, dated 1938. This is also from the Douglas collection, as indicated by the Barbara Douglas signature on the inside cover. [Note: Barbara Douglas married Hap Arnold, of Air Force fame.]The inside back cover holds a fold-out map of North America, and outlines the Indian nations by name across the continent. The Douglas name is synonymous with the famous Aircraft company. All in very good to excellent condition, very rare. -61953
