This lot includes an original Hunter C-17 ceiling fan, originating from the first quarter of the 1900's. The piece was recovered from an early period Butte, Montana residence and is truly a testament to the historic copper mining history. The fan shows the original wing-tip blades, copper plated finish, and displays excellently. The fan, which was made by "Hunter Fan & Motor Company", out of Fulton, N.Y., is considered to be the "granddad of ceiling fans", for their excellent "workhorse" reliability. The fan is in good, mostly complete condition, though the draw cord is absent, leaving the fan inoperable. The fan measures approximately 52 1/4" wide and deep, and 22" tall.
