"Farewell" was first modeled in 1937 as "So Long" by the master sculptor Arthur Moeller. Gerhard Skrobek remodelled the figure in a smaller size (the 3 3/4-inch or 4-inch, called 65/0) in 1955 and restyled it in 1964. Most of the figures have been between 4 and 5 inches. In the early 1980s, a new version was created by the improper placement of the basket on the arm of the child, giving the impression that there is part of the handle missing. These are Premium pieces, worth an additional $100. Production of "Farewell" ended in 1993, and the piece has been retired.
This item is one of the Premium pieces, with the "missing basket handle" as the pictures show. It is 5 inches tall.
Shipping is determined after checkout.
