Desirable group of signatures of the 'Four Horsemen,' the nickname of the conservative block which dominated the Supreme Court during the 1930s and shot down much of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal legislation. Includes: George Sutherland (signature), James Clark McReynolds (Supreme Court memo slip), Pierce Butler (signature on Supreme Court letterhead), and Willis Van Devanter (signature on reverse of a personal calling card).
