Huge WWII Air Corps Lot
Gigantic United States Air Corps collection from World War II that belonged to Air Corps officer Jack Furber. The lot contains two original forest green combat uniforms with brass buttons and an Air Corps seal patch at the shoulder, a green Air Corps hat with a patch, several war medals and pins, an Air Corps merit award certificate, a negative of a fighter plane, a large United States of America flag, 8'' x 10'' portrait of Furber in his uniform and three personal photo albums. The 9'' x 11'' red-covered album contains photos of Air Force fighter jets and bombers, pictures of Furber�s unit, photos of himself, family photos and love letters from admiring girls. The 9'' x 11.25'' green album covers the later stages of the War along with a few post-war photos. 14'' x 12.5'' brown photo album is partially filled and has late 1940's to mid 1950's pictures of his wife and children and their travels. It also includes a 1948 Ohio State University graduation card. The winged medals have some rusting on the back. The uniforms and certificate are in near fine condition. A comprehensive World War II lot that visually narrates the combat and life experiences of an American pilot officer.
