This is an original Native American Indian Trade Silver Gorget necklace made by Narcisse Roy “N.R.” of Montreal, Quebec, Canada in circa 1765-1814. The rare artifact shows two drop down gorgets with three beaver hanging pieces. This museum quality silver artifact shows the correct hallmarks such as: “Quebec”, “HB” with a beaver figure above the letters (Hudson Bay), the walking lion wearing a crown (attributing silver to be sterling), and “N.R.” (Narcisse Roy’s touch mark). The piece shows a hand etched uncomman fish effigy in the center with the entire piece having wonderful etched accents. The piece is from the Montreal Hudson Bay Fur Co and was created circa 1765-1814. Gorget measures overall 9”L x 5.75”W. The piece is displayed in a glass top black case 16.25"x12.25".
