The piece is a very rare and uncommonly seen religious artifact from the Native Americans showing a papal cross hand engraved showing excellent quality. The piece is from the Montreal Hudson Bay Fur Co and was created circa 1765-1814. The front of the cross shows a set green glass or gem set stone causing the “HB” hallmark to be magnified. The piece is on a trade bead necklace showing rich rare green faceted glass beads and brass or copper trade beads all from the 18th to early 19th century. Cross measures 4 5/8”L x 2 5/8”W.
