The lot features a worked and etched copper turtle traded by the Hudson Bay Fur Trading Co. to the Northern Plains Native American Indians. The piece is from circa 1800-1850 and shows the fleur de lis and standing crowned lion hallmarks. The piece is worked copper in the shape of a turtle effigy with a brass accent on the top and a round copper worked coin having the "HB" Hudson Bay Co. hallmark. The piece shows overall good condition for being around 200 years old. The piece is on a strand of Northern Plains Native American Indian sea glass trade beads in white, yellow, and soft blue. The effigy pendant measures 3 5/8"x6.75" with a 34" circumference necklace. The piece is in a glass topped black display case that measures 12.25"x16.25".
