American magician (1869–1936), billed as the King of Cards, who was one of the most popular performers of his day. Vintage promotional playing card, 2.25 x 3.5, with an image of Thurston on one side, and his daughter Jane’s image on the reverse, signed vertically in fountain pen on his image side. In very good condition, with light contrast to signature, vertical crease to top, and some light surface rubbing and soiling.
