A whimsical One Whomolian prop bill created for use in Ron Howard’s beloved 2000 live-action adaptation of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, starring Jim Carrey as the iconic Grinch.
Expertly designed to capture the quirky charm of Dr. Seuss’s Whoville, this double-sided prop measures approximately 6" x 2.5" and features intricate, custom-printed details. One side displays the denomination “ONE WHOMOLIAN” along with a festive Christmas tree illustration at the center, while the reverse proudly reads “IN WHOS WE TRUST” in bold red lettering, a playful Seussian twist on traditional currency design.
These colorful bills were produced by the art department for use as set dressing and by various actors throughout Whoville, appearing in the bustling shops and holiday scenes that define the film’s magical production design. Every element, from the stylized fonts to the candy-cane hues, reflects the film’s Oscar-winning art direction and unmistakable Whoville whimsy.
