A delightfully whimsical piece of Whoville craftsmanship, this oversized “Nog” container was custom-made for Ron Howard’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Universal, 2000) and appears in the film’s festive deleted scenes.
Standing an impressive 31” tall x 27” x 16”, this Seussian creation perfectly embodies the eccentric and colorful world of Whoville. Constructed from various materials and finished in a rich green with metallic bronze accents, the container features raised gold-tone letters spelling “NOG” across the front and vibrant pink and red decorative detailing. The dual coiled handles and flared rim give it a playful, handcrafted quality characteristic of the film’s imaginative design aesthetic.
Used both by Whoville residents and as part of the set dressing, this prop served as one of the town’s festive beverage containers, an exaggerated nod to the Whos’ love of celebration and holiday cheer.
