This is an original 4" x 6" production-used make-up and costume reference photograph of Jim Carrey in full Grinch transformation, taken during the production of Ron Howard’s "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (2000). Capturing Carrey mid-sneer and fully suited in the iconic green fur, Santa hat, and prosthetic detail, this photo was used by the make-up and wardrobe departments to ensure continuity throughout the demanding shoot.
These types of photos were essential to maintaining the film’s elaborate look, particularly with Carrey’s intensive prosthetics and award-winning transformation, overseen by legendary make-up artist Rick Baker.
A rare behind-the-scenes artifact, this image offers a striking look at one of the most memorable holiday characters in modern cinema, making it a prized collectible for fans of the film, Jim Carrey, or cinematic make-up design.
