These brightly-colored mag-wheeled beauties were an immediate hit with kids, and their success and longevity are all but unprecedented. Offered here is the original prototype, saved by a Mattel employee, for the very first Hot Wheel to roll off the line, the Chevrolet Camero. What discerns this from the regular production run is that the base does not have the words "Foreign Patent Pending," and the car interior is black, as was not the case with regular issues. The condition on this item is less than mint, but considering that it was used in the design and production process, it can be forgiven a few paint chips and tire abrasions. Rekindle your childhood with this rare piece of history! <B>Estimate: $6,000-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium.
