Entitled "Hot Springs" this photograph appears to have been taken is what is now known as Brockway. The area is known for hosting the only hot springs in the Tahoe area. A hotel was built there in the 1870s, and it is possible a large building featured in the photograph could be the hotel. The photograph is of a side view of a white building, presumably the Hot Springs Hotel along the shoreline. The photographer is identified as R.J. Waters of Gold Hill, NV. This photograph was featured in the Lake Tahoe Series produced by Waters. The matte measures 8.5" x 5.25" while the photograph measures 8.10" x4.80." The focus is very sharp while the contrast is medium. There is very little wear on the matte. There are some small tears along the top of the photograph.
