Gupta Dynasty, Chandragupta II alias Vikramaditya (375-415 CE), Gold Dinar, “Horseman to Left” type, Obv: the king riding a horse to the left, his sash flowing out behind him, Brahmi legend "Paramabhagavato (Maharajadhiraja Sri) Chandragupta" around the field, the letter 'pta' of the legend placed between the head of the king & the head of the horse, Rev: the goddess Lakshmi, nimbate, seated facing left on a draped stool her left hand resting above her waist, holding a lotus with a long stalk, her right hand holding a noose, a tamgha on the right field, Brahmi legend “Ajitavikrama” on the right, a dotted border around the field, 7.9g, 20.78mm, (Variant of Altekar. Bayana Hoard # Pl. XIV-7/TGE, S. Kumar # Class I-Var. A), about very fine, Very Rare.
