Lot of 2: 1) A beautifully made leather headstall with sterling silver trim made by Victor Quality Leather Goods of Pasadena, CA. Each side has a large round silver buckle with large silver dots and engraving, measuring 3.5” in diameter and stamped with “Sterling/Victor” on the reverse. Silver butterflies and intervening silver dots line the crown piece and silver acorns with interspersed silver dots line the cheek pieces. Acorns were one of the design elements featured by the company. The headband is lined with silver ferrules. The company was known for its excellent saddles and other leather products, but no longer makes saddles and is most probably no longer in business [Ref: www.ablackhorse.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16506]. 2) Another Victor-made piece:a leather halter sized for a yearling and trimmed with sterling silver plates in a floral pattern. On either end of the crownpiece are silver buckles, keepers, and tips. Also made by Victor Quality Leather Goods, as noted by stamped identification on the reverse of the buckles. -59262
