Included are chapters about Cortez's flagship, 'Trinidad'; the 1563 fleet that sank in the Bahamas; 'Las Cinque Chagas' lost in the Azores in 1594; 4 galleons of the 1605 fleet that sank on the Serranilla Bank; the 'Atocha', which Mel Fisher found and salvaged; the capitana of the 1654 fleet that sank off the coast of Ecuador; the 'Maravillas ' wreck on Little Bahama Bank (1656); the 'San Jose' which sank in 1706 off Cartagena, Colombia with a rich load of gold; and the 'Guadalupe', which went down in the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 1750; 'La Galga' which sank off the Virginia coast in 1750; the 'Juno' which sank off the New Jersey coast in 1802; and the 'Sagunto' lost off the coast of New England in 1813.
