American education reformer (1796–1859). ALS, one page, 7 x 7.5, May 27, 1850. Mann sends a recently received letter to a third party. In full: “Herewith I forward you a letter just in from Mr. Causten, in reply to one addressed to him by me, with other papers.” In very good condition, with moderate creasing and several intersecting folds (touching two letters of the signature) and a small lower left corner chip.
