<B>Horace Greeley: A Magnificent 1872 Ferrotype in Fancy Brass Shell Frame.</B></I> Greeley's was a quixotic campaign against a highly popular incumbent Grant presidency, and there appears to have been little campaign money available for badges and such. Nearly all Greeley items are rare. The present example combines superb condition with an exceptionally nice portrait and desirable frame to create a very special example. If one wishes a representative ferrotype for this candidate, it would be hard to imagine a better choice.
