A very nice and fairly rare Hopkins and Allen 16 ga. black powder single barrel shotgun. Has an original saddle ring and full pistol grip circa 1888. Nice patina brown overall finish, excellent wood stock and foregrip. Also, the lever and falling block work excellent as does the action. This gun has a 25 inch original length barrel and very nice bore. Because of the shorter barrel and smaller caliber, the gun is very well-balanced. A beautiful piece of Americana that is both historic and functional as a black powder shotgun.
