Hopkins and Allen 12 gauge falling block, single shot shotgun, patented 1885 and the barrel reduced to 19 ½”. The wrist is wrapped with rawhide as an old western repair. The metal surfaces show a brown patina with traces of original blue and case hardening also some minor pitting and erosion just starting. The stocks are fair to good with a small chip from the toe. Obviously the stock was broken beneath the wrapped rawhide. The action is good and the bore is rough. Gale Kennedy Historical West Collection. Est.: $150-$300.
