Includes an unusual watering pitcher having a straight spout with four piercings and painted with black nested crosses on a cream ground, 5.75" high x 7" diameter; PLUS a Hopi red burnished bowl with simple geometric designs painted in black, 1.5" high x 3.5" diameter; AND miniature polychrome bowl with effigy lug handles, and with geometric banded design; 1.5" high x 3" diameter. Deaccessioned from the Western Reserve Historical Society of Cleveland, Ohio. First handle off and reglued, else with minor wear, else very good; second, .75" chip on lip; third, minor pencil marks, all with old museum accession numbers.

<p>Terms of Sale. The highest bidder for each lot shall be the buyer, and if any dispute arises as to any bidding, or between two or more bidders, at the sole discretion of the auctioneer, the disputed lot shall be put up again at the last undisputed bid and resold.
<p>Buyer’s Premium. Successful bidders shall pay the hammer price of each lot, plus a 15%, added on buyer’s premium.

<p>Condition of Items in the Sale. Cowan’s Historic Americana Auctions does not warrant the condition of any lot sold. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, and neither Cowan’s nor the consignor makes any warranties or representations of any kind or nature with respect to the property or it’s value, and in no event shall they be responsible for correctness of description, genuineness, attribution, provenance, authenticity, authorship, completeness, condition of the property or estimate of it’s value. No statement (oral or written) in the catalog, at the auction, or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty or representation, or any assumption of responsibility.
<p>While condition reports for most items can be found online at Cowan’s website www.historicamericana.com, prospective bidders are urged to contact Cowan’s directly for detailed information regarding any lot. THERE SHALL BE NO RETURNS FOR ANY REASON.
<p>Estimates. Pre-sale estimates of the expected hammer price of each lot are provided for the convenience of prospective bidders. In most cases, they do not represent reserves. Bidders are encouraged to bid what they feel an item is worth.
<p>Dimensions. Unless otherwise noted, all dimensions are given in inches.
<p>HOW DO I BID?
<p>Internet bidding through icollector and ebaylive auctions is offered as a service to our customers, and prospective bidders shall not hold the auctioneer or his staff responsible for any errors or failures in executing bids, nor shall they hold the auctioneer responsible for any failure due to the loss of the auction applet supplied to Cowan’s by ebayliveauctions.
<p>Absentee Bidding. Absentee bids left through ebaylive auctions and icollector auctions are automatically bid electronically by the computers of eBay.
