Description: Presented for sale in this lot is a coiled basket. Coiled basketry of this type is made on the Second Mesa villages on the Hopi Reservation. Each stitch of a coil is interlocked into the adjoining stitch of the previous coil. You can image the time it would have taken to create such a beautiful basket. Maker: Unknown Hopi basket weaver. Approx. Age: Mid 1900s. Size: Measures 9-3/4”w x 7” tall. Condition: Pretty good for its age, wear and fading expected. Please look closely at the pictures - they are an important part of our description. Shipping: There will be a $7 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot.
