Hope style saddle showing recovering during period of use and old frontier repairs. The leather covering is lightly tooled on its edges and the saddle shows evidence of small Concho’s of which one (1) remains. Thecondition is good with some losses and rips at the seams with normal aging. The tree interior shows reinforcements with what appears to be Indian style tanned and stitched leather. A very interesting 1850sera saddle that looks to have been recovered in the 1870s or 80s and definitely was used out West somewhere. Est.: $300-$600.
