Featured in this lot is this 1960-70s Honeywell Pentax Exposure Meter made by Pentax in Japan. This lot includes the meter and its original, black leather carrying case. The Pentax Spotmeter can check the luminance of a small spot in a scene. This allows you to analyze the entire scene to ensure a good exposure, contrast, detail, and highlights. A spot meter measures light in a small area of the frame, usually in the center. Most spot meters have a narrow one degree angle of view for the light sensor, which is marked in the viewfinder by a circle. To use it, hold the view port up to your eye and point the small center circle at your subject. Then press down on the metering button and get your settings. The lens on the meter has various settings you can change to further better the settings you get. The back of the meter reads, "Honeywell Pentax Exposure Meter 3/21 / Serial 62845 / Made in Japan". Connected to the meter is a thin, black leather carrying strap. This meter does not work when the metering button is pressed but might only need a battery change as the interior components are clean and intact. The meter shows good condition overall with little wear present despite its age and use over the years. It measures 5 1/2" L x 2 3/8" W x 5 1/8" H and has a collective weight with the case of 1 pound and 4 ounces.
