<td width="100%">
Black and White original photograph of homeless man in New York City done by art student who traveled from Connecticut in the 1990's. Excellent capture of the life in the daytime on a side street. Subject of photograph is carrying his sleeping bag and belongings. It is unsigned, but was done by a student named Elizabeth Piatt (Kelly) Kelly has had art shows in Connecticut with black and white studies and work with shadows. She currently is in her late 30's and is dealing with lung cancer. I like this particular photo because it captures the story of one homeless person trying to find a place to take his belongings in the daytime, and how carefully he takes care of his only posessions. The busy world around him does not "see" him as they go about their business, but the artist sees him clearly and puts the spotlight on him for that instant. I have the photograph in an inexpensive frame, but due to the cost of shipping the frame, will be packaging the photograph and matte without the frame.
