Hollywood Memorabilia Auction IX

Auction Details

Icons of Pop Culture are proud to present our Hollywood Memorabilia Auction IX
Over 300 lots of original props, costumes and other Hollywood Memorabilia from a variety of hit films and television series will be auctioned.

In addition, we have 35 lots of rare prototypes, samples, company paperwork, finished and unfinished production artifacts from Icons Authentic Replicas.

Icons Authentic Replicas was founded in the Summer of 1995. The Southern California based company produced 1:1 scale replicas of film and television props and miniatures cast from originals used during filming or recreated using extensive research and original reference material. Initial prototyping occurred until the Summer of 1996 when the company premiered its introductory product line with official replicas from Star Wars licensed by Lucasfilm Ltd. The quality and accuracy of the Star Wars Lightsabers immediately established Icons as an international brand name. Within six months Icons’ Star Wars line was sold through The Sharper Image, FAO Schwartz, The Smithsonian Institute, and QVC. The Icons Star Wars line was immediately followed by authentic studio authorized replicas from such blockbusters as Aliens, Predator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Independence Day, Men In Black, Jurassic Park, Batman and Robin, Xena: Warrior Princess and Lost In Space, with others in production when the company closed its doors after only five years in business leaving many collectors disappointed as many orders went unfulfilled.

Icons Authentic Replicas was ahead of its time and laid the ground work for the many prop replica companies that followed in Icons’ footsteps. These lots showcase the companies innerworkings and product development.
