These auction sale catalogs include mainly antiquities and personal effects that were recovered from the wreck of the SS Central America. The sale contains 294 lots of artifacts grouped as 'Ship's Provisions', 'Passenger Possessions' and 'The Business of Gold' and 276 lots of gold ore, antiquities, paper money, documents, and books. The 'SS Central America' sank off the North Carolina coast in 1857 while transporting bullion and gold rush miners from Panama to New York City. The catalog also includes sections on the Salvor's story, The California Gold Rush and San Francisco, 3D Technologies, Seafloor Mystery and History, and Neil Dobson's Commentary.
