500 hundred year old Vetnamese bowl recovered from the Hoi An Hoard, the remnants of a Chinese junk which sank in a typhoon some 500 years ago. This junk was en route to Java and New Guiniea and sank to a depth of 200 feet. Marked with the recovery tag and lot #147984 as found by divers working in harsh conditions at a depth of 200 ft., saturation diving for extended periods. Hoi An, a small village on the coast of Vietnam, gives its name to this world famous wreck. Vietnamese pottery, once known as white gold, as it was much sought after by European and Asian merchants.
