Historic Spencer Springfield Armory conversion rifle, .50 cal., 32-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stocks with butt stock stamped on right side “K 10 CAV, No. 17”, #20915. This gun is in nearmint condition as Arsenal re-finished showing the majority of its blue finish on the barrel and fiery case colors on the receiver, hammer, lockplate, loading lever, buttplate and fore end cap; fine bore, crisp action,barrel numbered to receiver, stabler cut-off, wood stocks fine with inspector’s cartouche on left side of butt stock behind saddle ring bar assembly and some scattered old mars from storage; sling swivels, iron cleaningrod. A striking Spencer from the 10th Cavalry who were the famous Buffalo Soldiers who fought the Indian Wars of the Western Frontier. Est.: $5,000-$10,000.
