Historic Smith & Wesson Outlaw's Pistol
Ca. 1872-1874, Rare .44g Smith & Wesson center fire (American) six-shot single action revolver found in northeastern Montana (Kid Curry's backyard) in the early 1900s. The serial number and manufacturing information has been deliberately filed off most likely to make it unidentifiable. An historian with expertise from that area was very excited that the timing and location of this pistol, plus the filing of the numbers, make it possible that this piece was involved somehow in the Kid Curry/Wild Bunch illegal activity that was prevalent in the area at the time. Good condition, pitting and wear, action works fine. 8" bbl
