Highly detailed hand woven Persian Lillian. Made of fine quality lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation, all natural vegetable dye, incorporating a highly detailed floral pattern on a rich ivory background: large dark centerpiece medallion, crowned corners and finished off beautifully with an intricate floral border. Hand woven in Lillian from Iran. About the history of Lillian: it's a village located south of sultanabad, began in the 17th century, when a large group of armenians settled here. Lilian Rugs, therefore, are made by the descendants of these armenian refugees. These Rugs are very rare and hand woven by local masters. Size: 5 feet 4 inches X 8 feet 3 inches.
