Highly detailed hand woven Persian Lilian. Size: 5 feet 2 inches X 7 feet 2 inches. Made of fine quality lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation, all natural vegetable dye, incorporating a highly detailed floral pattern on red background. Large centerpiece medallion, Crowned corners and finished off beautifully with an intricate floral border. Hand woven in Lilian, Iran. About the history of Lilian. It’s a village located south of Sultanabad, began in the 17th century, when a large group of Armenians settled here. Lilian Rugs, therefore, are made by the descendants of these Armenian refugees. These Rugs are very rare and hand woven by local masters.
