***Auction Highlight*** 1893-s Vam 2 R6 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Unc Details By USCG. HIGHLIGHT OF THE ENTIRE AUCTION Up for Auction is a Mint State 1893-s Morgan Dollar. This attractively toned and overall sharply defined example is sure to have no difficulty finding its way into an advanced collection of America's favorite silver dollar type. The 1893-S is an issue that needs no introduction in today's market, and its fame is such that its desirability transcends the Morgan dollar series. With only 100,000 pieces produced this is the lowest mintage circulation strike silver dollar of its type. While many of these coins were likely melted under terms of the 1918 Pittman Act, thousands were released into commercial channels. The latter probably happened no later than the earliest decades of the 20th century, for the typical example offered in today's market is well worn in grades such as Fine and VF. This is mint state survivor whose significance is further enhanced when we consider the awesome rarity of this issue in Mint State, a mere 123 mint state survivors exist. I have included a closeup of the eyebrow to illustrate the complete lack of wear. I believe the details grade is due to the subdued mint luster and an ms61 is not out of the question. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation
