High quality percussion 12ga shotgun signed William Mills and “Improved” on locks showing fine English quality throughout with unusual grip safety that blocks the release of the hammers. The gun measures 36-3/4” overall.The barrels have been reduced to approx. 21” (coach size). The gun remains in good to very good condition showing a light grey to brown patina finish with some minor erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The gun isnicely engraved on locks, mounts, and onto the breeches of the barrel. The wrist shows a silver plaque which is engraved with a English style crest of bird with helmet and the initials “VUD”. The stock is good showing some wear. An old brass-tipped ramrod is included. A quality English gun with a grip safety that was far ahead of its time. Est: $600 - $1,200
