High quality double-rifle with boxlock action by J. Bury of Liege, Belgium. Original chambered in .405 Winchester cartridge, blue and case hardened finish, select checkered wood stocks, showing gold inlaid crest ontriggerguard which is possibly that of Herman Goering. Serial #6640. The rifle remains in fine to near excellent condition showing 95-98% original blue on barrels, excellent bores, original bright finish on back ofbarrels and lugs, showing Belgian smokeless proofs stamped .405 Winchester, marked “B. Lindee” and back of right barrel marked “P. Jamart in Rayeur”, and are serial numbered to match. The barrels measures 25-1/4”. Therifle shows a two-leaf folding rear sight, typical hand-filed raised rib, small boxlock action with cross-bolt, auto-ejectors, case-hardened frame and small parts. The frame shows 90-95% case hardening justdulling slightly. The triggerguard shows 95-98% original blue, with the crest of an arm in armor holding gold ring, which is a knightly crest of the style found on the guns of Herman Goering, who was the Huntmaster of
