High quality custom bolt-action rifle on Winchester Pre-64 model 70 action by G. Hoenig, Boise Idaho. In 8mm Remington Mag caliber with European type styling mounted with 2.5x10power Swarovski scope withhand-detachable rail mounts, probably supplied by Hoenig. The stock measures 13-3/4” to the end of the wood, 14-3/8” to the end of the pad. The rifle shows a raised hand-filed rib with iron rear sight where itis signed. The front sight shows a spring-release cover. The gun is finely stocked in deluxe quality burl walnut which is bolted through the action and sports a Monte Carlo style cheek-piece, milled steelpistol grip cap with trap, European type quick detachable sling swivels with fabric sling. The condition is very good plus to near fine showing some minor stock marks, carry, and minor use. The action is polishedand worked as is the trigger. The bore is excellent, the rifle is in 95-98% condition since its customization. Hoenig was one of Robert Petersen’s favorite rifle makers and considered among the top few in America.
