High quality and unusual two tone pinfire revolver in original to the period French style case circa 1860s to 1870s. The unmarked double action revolver is in 7.5 mm pinfire with a six shot cylinder and is nickel plated on the barrel,cylinder, hammer and trigger with engraved and gold plated over brass frame. The elongated grip is oversized. The pistol is devoid of proofs or markings and is good quality. The grips are varnished walnut and are in good condition. Thequality of engraving is good and the action works well. The pistol measures 8 ¼” overall with a 3 ½” barrel. This revolver is cased within its original to the period French style fitted case with 2 compartments. The interior of the case isin very good plus to near fine condition with just some slight fading and normal aging. The exterior of the case is veneered hardwood probably mahogany with brass inlays and in very good condition with just slight normal aging. A mostinteresting and unusual pin fire that actually fits a large hand. Est.: $800-$1600
