High quality German 12 over/under shotgun, 31-3/8” barrels, with ventilated rib, split barrels, highly engraved action, single trigger, standard extractors, choked “Full” over “Improved Modified”. Serial #31786. 214is engraved on frame. The gun shows German smokeless proofs with, crown “S”, “W”, and “U” and what appears to be a prewar eagle. The gun is equipped with a Miller single trigger and shows the name “G. W. Lindsay,Houston, Texas”, high relief engraved at the breech. The gun is nicely engraved in typical high quality German motifs in scrolls and game birds on frame, triggerguard, and breech. The stock is good quality walnut with select grain checkered in a fancy pattern. The gun shows a very unusual release to forend at front top edge, and reinforced covers over frame pin. (“Built like a tank”). The gun remains in very good to near finecondition with 85-95% original blue. The case hardening has drifted mostly to silver with traces of colors.
